A top tier Pho I've had in a while, especially in St Louis. I got the Pho Tai (#20) and I loved that it was simple but so flavorful. They serve the veggies/beansprouts/jalepenos on the side for you to add. Also the Vietnamese iced coffee was SO GOOD one of the best ones I've had. Menu is so expansive and I'm sure they do it all great. Would definitely come back and try new things!

The food tastes very good, the seafood in the Tom Yum Goong soup is relatively clean, the fried rice noodles are also delicious, and the price-performance ratio is very high. After eating, you can have a waffle and go shopping in the Vietnamese supermarket next to it. It is a good choice.

The Joyful House has quickly become my favorite Vietnamese spot in St. Louis. The prices are reasonable, the portions generous, and the flavors on point. With a wide variety of Vietnamese cuisine to choose from, you're sure to find something you love. Their spring rolls are delicious and, like their other appetizers, very affordable. They also offer plenty of soup options and entrees. Give them a try--you won't be disappointed.

Ready to spice up your weekend with some delicious Vietnamese cuisine? Look no further than this hidden gem of a restaurant! Only open on weekends, this spot is worth the wait for its traditional pho, rice platters, and hotpots. Trust me, I've been there a few times and tried everything from the food to the boba drinks, and it's all delicious. Just be prepared to wait a bit - getting your order can take over 20 minutes. Good things come to those who wait, right? So, if you're feeling adventurous and want to tantalize your taste buds, I recommend checking out this spot.

Joyful House is a MUST try! Have you heard that restaurants attached to grocery stores are the best hidden gems?! Joyful House definitely lives up to this expectation! My Favs: #4 Goi Cuon: Fresh Spring Rolls (PRO-TIP: these are made to order, so you can request just shrimp or just pork) #42 Lau Canh Chua: Sweet & Sour Soup Hot Pot #39 Stir Fried Chili Tofu && they have Boba Tea!!

Located in the heart of Dutchtown South City St. Louis, Joyful House Restaurant is an excellent Vietnamese spot. Recently renovated, the restaurant boasts a clean and unassuming atmosphere, perfect for casual dining. The layout is simple yet functional, with tables spread throughout an open area, creating a communal vibe. The menu offers an expansive array of Vietnamese dishes, ensuring something for everyone. We had... 1. Fresh Spring Rolls with Shrimp 2. Black Peppered Shrimp & Rice 3. Seafood Hot Pot 4. Catfish Hot Pot and much more... Each dish is highlighted the vibrant flavors and fragrant herbs that define Vietnamese cuisine. In addition to the delicious food, the service at Joyful House Restaurant was attentive and friendly. There were 5 of us so Ky had his hands full! He took excellent care of us.

Wanted to show some love to Joyful House today on S. Grand! Such an inviting space when you walk in. They've just recently redone this spot so it's updated & clean! Our server Ky was great! He had 5 of us to take care of & he was wonderful, our food came out quick & hot! I started off with a Vietnamese Iced Coffee & followed with the Korean Beef entree. Don't be so quick to judge the lower part of S. Grand! You won't be disappointed. Asian market is attached if you want to do a little shopping also.

The best pho in town. Period. Also the most affordable bubble tea and not some outrageous price like other places in town. Egg rolls are legit too. My child says mmm every time he eats anything here. If you want authentic Vietnamese this is one of the few places to go in town

One of my favorite Vietnamese restaurants to visit whenever I am in town. Decent Vietnamese food and a lot of option for everyone. And you can't beat their prices anywhere else. We got banh mi to share, com dac biet, pho dac biet, and a sugarcane juice for under $40. I like to come here because it is connected to a grocery store. I am able to go grab groceries and eat lunch at the same place. Just very convenience for someone with a busy schedule. I am giving it a 4 star rating because I feel like the food is a hit or miss. Today, the rice tasted like they are days old, hard and dry. Pho wasn't as flavorful as the last visit. Service was very slow. And restroom was very dirty. I am not going to give them a lower star due to one bad visit. Overall, great restaurant. Highly recommend.

Another visit when I just happen to be in the area. Come in for lunch with 2 people. The place was quiet with some music in the background. I ordered appetizers including Goi Cuon - Spring Roll and Goi Cuon Thit Nuong - BBQ Pork Spring Rolls. The Goi Cuon Thit Nuong - BBQ Pork Spring Rolls is so so good!!! Might be my new favorite. Bun Bo Hue was good like always with a lot of meat. However, the Banh Canh was a bit let down. The service is still good like always, sit where you wanted!
